A Physician’s Recovery Story
As a physician no one ever wants to admit that they have a substance abuse issue. The physicians and staff at PSI were extremely comforting upon entering the program. Although it is not an experience I would wish upon anyone I did find the program to be enlightening and educational on many levels.
At PSI, You’re Treated Like Family.
My experience at PSI can be described in so many ways, but the best way to sum it up is healing. PSI is not just a rehab institute, but a family (both literally and figuratively), who welcome each client with warmth, support, and empathy. The program at PSI provides not only amazing support for their clients’ recoveries, but also important education centered on successful recovery.
What Positive Sobriety Institute Taught Me
Positive Sobriety Institute not only saved my life but they taught me how to focus on being the best version of myself daily.
The Heart of PSI
Even though the competency of this institute is amongst the highest in the industry with success metrics that rival the best in the nation, the part that is difficult to include in their marketing and self-promotion is the heart with which their unique expertise is administered. Dr. Dan Angres and his protege Dominick Angres are two of the most caring human beings in the addiction treatment business with a staff to match. There isn’t anything length they would not go to in order to help their patients.
How Positive Sobriety Institute Can Make a Difference in Your Life
PSI was a facility that was in no way punitive. Rather than make me feel ashamed of my addiction, PSI enabled me to grasp the meaning of my addiction. PSI enlightens an addict to the mental process and repercussions of said addiction without making an addict feel inferior. It draws on the humanity of addiction to show the ways in which a person can live with addiction and in spite of addiction. PSI taught me how to cope with the adversities that confront me, as well as, how to recognize my own character traits that define me.
